Two types of handouts are provided by Summit Health at health screening events or health fairs:
- Summit Health Screening Results Handouts – Individual screening results
- Health Education Support Materials -- Handouts on health issues such as blood pressure and cholesterol
At each health screening, Summit Health provides each participant with a patient results sheet that includes the patient’s biometric results and corresponding national guidelines. Summit Health provides results upon the completion of a fingerstick health screening. Summit Health has created a variety of scripts for screening staff to ensure standardized and consistent counseling across regions and teams. This counseling includes:
- Review of results
- Comparison to national guidelines
- Suggested lifestyle changes
- Answer to questions posed by participants
Throughout the health screening session, Summit Health coaches review employees’ results and answer questions. As part of the coaching, employees receive reports with their results along with national guidelines. For venipuncture (blood draw) and home test kit screenings, results are mailed to employees’ homes within 10 business days, followed by coaching via telephone. These reports can be customized to reinforce the wellness message and to include contact information for further assistance.
